The Ammi Monster

A couple of days ago I joined the team from Maternal Journal for a live journaling session on Zoom.

This was a first for me, so I didn’t quite know what to expect.

We were given a prompt - to create a collage; we had to design a machine to take our place as mothers.

Firstly, I had no magazines to cut out!
Secondly, the others’ work was amazing, while all I managed was a rough draft. Plus I had my girls with me and that didn’t help!

Eventually, this is what I ended up with. My machine evolved into a monster. 😂

*Ammi means Mom in Urdu, and is what my children call me.
