Book Review: Airhead (Book 1)

 Title: Airhead (book 1)
Author: Meg Cabot
Genre: Drama/YA Fiction/Sci-Fi
Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

A very light read, this is good for airports and long flights. The story has potential, but I found nothing exceptional in the way it was written.

The protagonist is a studious high school girl, who meets with a tragic accident.

Upon waking up from a month long coma, she realises that her life has changed beyond her wildest dreams (or nightmares?).

The story shows how Emerson Watts adjusts to this new reality with what was supposed to be witty hilarity - instead it comes off as passable slapstick humour and an unrealistic, idealistic worldview.

However, I suspect the target audience (teenage girls) would appreciate this much better than a jaded 30-something. 😉
