Condolences to my Imam (A.S)

My dear Imam (AJTF),
Please forgive me for addressing you so;
My heart, it wouldn’t rest,
Sinking as it is, plummeting deep and low.

A cowardly clown ordered his minions,
To murder a man revered by millions.

The lion of your nation has now been slain;
We promise, it will not be in vain.

I can’t imagine, how you must feel;
With this enormous pain, how you’ll deal.

I want to say, as humbly as I can,
Please accept my condolences, my dear Imam.

I am a sinner of vast proportions;
Of my worth, I have no misguided notions.

But this event, how could I ignore?
My weak heart, it shattered and tore!

In the face of such adversity,
How can I remain calm?
Please accept my condolences,
My dear Imam.
