What Kind of Animal Are You?

An animal with attachment issues; who will care for and love and get attached to just about anyone. Loyal - stupidly so, some might say.

An animal whose bark is worse than her bite.

A wary animal - suspicious and untrusting and scared. One who would do anything to protect her young. An animal with a long memory - one that never forgets.

I am the animal that howls at the moon in the middle of the night. I am the one who prowls in the dark, bare teeth glistening, feral eyes flashing, tail angrily twitching. 

I am wild, chaotic, bloodthirsty. I am soft, strong, protective.

I am a mother, a woman, a partner, a survivor, a warrior.

I am human - and all the complexities entrenched within that word.
